Like in the case of population mapping, we have developed different methods for regional and city level affluence mapping called RegionWealth and CityWealth. In both cases we use spatial statistical models that bring together machine learning derived indicators from satellite imagery, data from censuses, surveys and other non-conventional and high-frequency data sources.
RegionWealth is currently available for India and the United States at a resolution of 90m and provide the most granular assessment of affluence which is currently available. Data for more countries is under development.
